The Victorian gambling study: technical report - part three
A series of secondary analyses were undertaken from The Victorian Gambling Study- A longitudinal study of gambling and health 2008-2012 (The Victorian Gambling Study). This paper is the third of a series of technical reports. The focus of this paper is on the interplay between social determinants, trauma and life events, social capital, and the level of gambling problems (PGSI score) in gamblers. Non-gamblers were excluded from the analysis. The purpose was to investigate a range of possible determinants (for example – trauma in life and upbringing, stressful life events, social capital and sociodemographics) to indicate which showed the strongest association with levels of gambling problems. -

Psychological treatments for problem gambling (PROGRESS) study final report
The study, one of the largest ever conducted examining treatments for problem gambling, also included a qualitative component examining the experiences of gamblers taking part in the study. The results in the report are based on 12 month follow up data. -
Recognition and responses to Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) in Gambler’s Help services: A qualitative study
Through interviews with 20 Gambler’s Help staff from Victoria and South Australia, this study explored the potential role gambling help services can play in the identification and response to clients who had either experienced or used violence in their intimate relationships. -
Development and evaluation of an online gambling self-directed program: effective integration into existing services
This research aimed to develop and evaluate a high quality online, self-directed program for gambling. The goal was to produce an online cognitive-behavioural program emulating the intensity and depth of a face-to-face cognitive-behavioural intervention from which more brief and targeted interventions could be developed. -

The Victorian prevalence study 2014 is a telephone survey of 13,554 Victorian adults who were selected randomly from the general population. There were 12,551 surveys using landlines and 1003 using mobile telephones. The study aimed to explore gambling and problem gambling in the Victorian population. -
