Victorians lose $2.699 billion on pokies in 2018-19
On 26 July 2019, the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation released figures on pokies expenditure for the 2018-2019 financial year.
In total, $2.699 billion was lost in Victoria at the pokies between 1 July 2018 and 30 June 2019. This is an increase of around $3.4 million, or 0.13 per cent, from pokies losses in 2017-2018.
Expenditure figures are available for each local government area, as well as for each of the 492 clubs and hotels operating pokies.
