New funding for gambling research
Applications for funding are now open for round nine of the Foundation’s Grants for Gambling Research Program.
Researchers are invited to submit proposals focused on the following themes:
- exploring issues concerning gambling in vulnerable populations:
- Aboriginal Victorians
- culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, or
- older Victorians
- intersections between gambling and family violence.
Applications will be accepted for both in-depth investigative grants (up to $200,000 over 3 years), and early career researchers (up to $50,000 over 2 years).
Applications must demonstrate connection with, and relevance to, the Victorian population.

The Grants for Gambling Research Program aims to encourage researchers from a variety of disciplines to undertake independent, investigator-initiated research into gambling and problem gambling.
