Gambling Harm Conference 2020 postponed
The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation has made the difficult decision to postpone our Gambling Harm Conference 2020: Every conversation counts.
Our priority is to deliver a program of the highest quality, including opportunities for delegates to share experiences and expertise in an environment in which they feel confident of their health and wellbeing. We are concerned that factors stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic mean this may not be a realistic expectation at this time.
While disappointed the conference is not going ahead as planned, we believe this is the right decision. In recent days, some speakers have had to withdraw from the conference due to travel restrictions, and others have indicated uncertainty about being able to fulfil their speaking commitments. We understand and respect that there are delegates who are also feeling a level of discomfort about attending group gatherings in the current circumstances.
We appreciate your support for the Gambling Harm Conference and will be in touch when new dates for this important event have been determined. In the meantime, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Please note, paying ticket holders should receive their automatic refund within 10 business days. If you haven’t received a refund by then, please email us at conference@responsiblegambling.vic.gov.au.
Thank you for your understanding.
