Fight for you hero Matt meets his sporting idols
Fight for the real you’ campaign participant Matt Torcasio rubbed shoulders with his sporting idols at the Collingwood Football Club Community Cup breakfast this morning.
Matt is one of the brave faces of the Foundation’s successful ‘Fight for the real you’ campaign. He took control of his gambling in the 100 Day Challenge, recording his thoughts and feelings in a daily video diary.
With over 100 gambling-free days behind him, Matt has a renewed sense of confidence. He can now go to the pub to enjoy a beer with his mates and not even think about playing the pokies or placing a bet. He has real goals for the first time in his life and has started saving for a house.
As a loyal Magpies follower, Matt was an ideal guest for the Foundation to take along to the Collingwood event.
Relishing the opportunity to watch the Pies train, Matt also scored a jersey signed by the team, and a football signed by senior club officials.
The Foundation partners with Collingwood Football Club to help raise awareness about responsible gambling to football fans.
The 100 Day Challenge is available to anyone seeking to take control of their gambling.
