Commission releases review of Crown casino licence
The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation has released the Sixth Review of the Casino Operator and Licence.
Under the Casino Control Act 1991, the commission is required to investigate Crown Melbourne Ltd at least every five years, to determine if it remains suitable to hold the casino licence.
The Sixth Review found that Crown remains suitable to hold the casino licence.
However, it identified areas for improvement, making 20 recommendations covering the areas of responsible gambling, institutional governance and Crown's organisational approach to regulation.
