The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation will hear an application by Sporting Legends Club Inc to increase the number of pokies at Sporting Legends Club in Sale (Shire of Wellington) from 74 to 80.

New leadership for Responsible Gambling Foundation

Tass Mousaferiadis has been appointed the new chair and board member Monique Conheady has been appointed deputy chair of the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation board. Mr Mousaferiadis succeeds the outgoing chair, Julie Ligeti, who has served in the role since 2016, championing the public health approach to gambling harm adopted by the Foundation. Ms Conheady’s appointment coincides with the resignation of Belinda Duarte, a Wotjobaluk and Dja Dja Wurrung descendent. The Foundation thanks Ms Legeti and Ms Duarte for their leadership and service.

On 3 March 2020, the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation will hear an application by Castello Daisey's Hotel Pty Ltd to install 100 pokies at Castello's Clyde North Hotel (City of Casey).

On 3 March 2020, the Victorian Commision for Gambling and Liquor Regulation will hear an application by Zahav (Aust) Pty Ltd to install 60 pokies at Mt Atkinson Hotel in Truganina (City of Melton).

Reconciliation Action Plan launch
